Worship -Advent 2
Join us for worship online or in-person this Sunday! It is a new church year, so join us as we journey through the season of Advent! Please call Angela in the office by 11:00 am Friday.
It is that time of year again where the weather has turned cold and many do not have the resources to help keep themselves warm during our long winter months. Smiles for Christmas is still accepting donations this year, and we need to deliver them to Scotiabank by December 10th. Please bring your mitten tree donations on Sunday, December 6th. We will be collecting them under our mitten tree for those two Sundays. All donations are much appreciated!
White Gift Sunday/ Food Bank
The food bank is in need of some specific items as they prepare for their Christmas hampers. Pancake mix, pancake syrup, stove top, cranberry sauce, chocolates, cookies, crunch n munch, crackers and anything Christmas related would be great. You can drop off any of these items at the church Tuesday-Friday from 9:30am -12:00 noon and we will add it to our Food Bank bin. On Sunday, December 20th we will also be celebrating White Gift Sunday as part of our worship service. You can bring donations for the food bank in a white bag or monetary donation in a white envelope. Please include your name and address on the envelope so the Food Bank can mail you a tax receipt. With your monetary donation, the Food Bank is able to purchase whatever supplies they need to support low-income families and seniors in our area.
This Advent/Christmas Season will look much different than we are used to. But hopefully we can find a way to still make it meaningful and that love will seep through whether we are aware of light and joy around us or challenge and dark. Love is present with us through it all.
